A traveling replica of the Shroud of Turin will be at Holy Rosary during Holy Week, April 13-20. A lecture on the history and scientific evidence supporting the Shroud as the burial cloth of Jesus Christ will be given in Priori Hall at 6 p.m. Monday, April 14.
The public is invited to tour the exhibit on Palm Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; on Monday and Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; and on Holy Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight. We may also set hours for Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday; please check next week’s bulletin for those times.
The exhibit features a 14-foot-by-4-foot digitized photo of the Holy Shroud, encased and backlit for better viewing. Among other items, the exhibit includes informational displays, replicas of nails and a scourge used by the Romans during the time of Christ and a running video about the Shroud.
