Sacramental preparation (children)
Families registered and attending Holy Rosary Church may register their public school children in grade 2 or above for sacramental preparation in 2007 - 2008. Special classes for Penance and First Holy Communion should be arranged no later than September 17. Religious Education registration forms may be found in the back of Church or by clicking here. For more information and details, contact Teresa Gorsage. (See the 2010-2011 schedule)
Confirmation Program 2010-2011
The Archdiocese of Indianapolis mandates that all students preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation are required to attend existing sacrament programs in their parishes. Here at Holy Rosary, our Confirmation Program is focused on immediate preparation for the sacrament. In addition to the Confirmation Program, students in Lumen Christi School, other parochial schools or home schooled should be following a basic course in religion for their age and grade level.
Below are two links to the Image of God series and the textbook to be used in the Confirmation Program.
Please note that only students 13 and older are eligible for Confirmation in May 2010. The calendar and registration form are found on this web site.

Spirituality for Children
Special spiritual enrichment classes for children are offered at Holy Rosary Parish. These classes are commonly known as Spirituality for Children. The classes are scheduled after the Mass in the Extraordinary Form and before the Mass in the Ordinary Form, from 11:15 – 11:55 a.m. Children participating in the classes need to be registered properly by filling out the form provided in the vestibule of the Church. There is no charge for the classes. The forms may be turned into the parish office or mailed directly to Teresa Gorsage.
Note that the classes are in the CYO building and are divided as follows:
- Children 3- 6 years of age are in the art room in the basement
- Caris Roller and Noelle Brown are the instructors
- Children 6-9 years of age are in the Italian Heritage room on the first floor
- Rob Hofmeister is the instructor
- Children 10-13 years of age are in the second floor classroom
- Lori Brown is the instructor
I will be sending home registration forms for all the parents to complete for their children. There is no cost for these classes. We ask only that parents drop their children off promptly following the 9:30 Mass. If you have any questions, call Teresa Gorsage at 636-4478.
