    • Mission Statement

In response to the Gospel of Life, the Pro-Iife Ministry at Holy Rosary Catholic Church facilitates our communities desire to become instruments of the Hands of God who told us “I have come so that they may have life and have it to the full." (Jn 10:10)
We advocate for all life from the pre-born to the aged. We work to create a Culture of Life through active programs and events, regular participation in Respect Life activities, political action to promote life and liberty, and most importantly, through Prayer.

    • Pray for the Indiana Supreme Court

As you may have heard, the Indiana Supreme Court will hear oral arguments for Indiana's most recent abortion law on Thursday, Jan. 12th.

This was signed into law for one week before immediately being sued by the ACLU and blocked from remaining in effect.

If this abortion law is upheld by our Court, all free-standing abortion facilities will be forced to stop providing abortions.

    • Updates on Indiana's New Abortion Law

On August 5, 2022, Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb signed SB1 into law, which banned nearly all abortions in the state with the exception of lethal fetal anomalies, cases of rape or incest (up to ten weeks post-fertilization), and situations threatening the life and health of the mother. The bill was enacted on September 15th.

One week later, on September 22nd, an Indiana judge placed an injunction on the law, once again allowing abortions to continue as they had previously, in response to a lawsuit filed by the ACLU of Indiana on behalf of Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion health providers. The lawsuit stated that SB1 violates rights granted in the Indiana Constitution. The ACLU filed a second lawsuit on behalf of Hoosier Jews for Choice, claiming that the law violates Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita asked the Indiana Supreme Court to hear the case and lift the injunction on the law. The Court rejected his request to lift the injunction but did agree to take the case. A hearing is set for January 12, 2023.

    • The Faithful Citizens Rosary Walks

There are those who think that people of faith should keep their faith to themselves, or at least to keep it within the walls of their church buildings. However, one of the founding principles of America is the freedom of religion, the right of all people to worship freely, without government constraint. True worship is a way of life, to exercise one's faith in all that one does, at work, at school, in the voting booth or in the public square.

We invite you to walk with other faithful citizens as we pray the Holy Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet through the streets of downtown Indianapolis. We pray for the conversion of sinners; for the forgiveness of our personal sins and the sins of our nation; for protection of Life, Holy Matrimony and religious freedom. Religious persecution takes many forms, from beheadings and crucifixions in the Middle East, to the attempted erosion and closing of Catholic institutions serving those in need. Prayer is our first and most powerful offense and defense against persecution in all its forms.

Join us on the fourth Saturday of every month following the 10:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 520 Stevens Street, Indianapolis. The procession leaves from Holy Rosary, travels south on East Street to McCarty Street, to Virginia Avenue, to East Street, and back to the church, concluding no later than 12:00 PM.

It is by being faithful to Christ and His Church that we become faithful citizens of our country. We are Catholics, we are Americans, and we are faithful citizens.

    • Pro-Life Ministry Prayer

Loving God, Creator of all life, we the members of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Pro Life Ministry beg your blessing on our work.  We dedicate ourselves in constructing a Culture of Life and being a “Voice for the Voiceless” through Your Divine Will.  Open our hearts; dispel our fears, so that we may trust completely in Your Will; knowing without trust and hope, our work cannot bear fruit.  Strengthened by the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, supported by the intercession of the Most Holy Virgin, Mother of God, bless us with the grace to see the Holy Face of Your Incarnate Son in all whom we meet. Amen.

    • Parish Prayer to End Abortions

The parish Pro-Life Ministry invites you to say this prayer specifically at 10 a.m. every Thursday, the time the abortionist is usually in our city at Clinic for Women:

Eternal Father, all life is in Your hands. You have entrusted us to one another to show our brothers and sisters the same love You have for us. Please protect all babies who are scheduled to die at Clinic for Women. Give hope to their parents that they may turn away from the desperate act of abortion. Please grant conversion to the abortionist and their staff.  We pray for all who do not respect the gift of life. Amen.
