    • First Communion at Holy Rosary Catholic Church
    • "We all should strive to be saints. It is the responsibility of every parish to assist its parishioners in achieving that most worthy goal. At Holy Rosary, our Family Formation and continuing religious education programs can play an integral role in that process. All of our classes are taught by faithful, dedicated instructors, whom most of you know because they, too, are parishioners.

These instructors are required to make public declarations of their Fidelity and have generously offered their time and efforts to assist others in growing in knowledge of the Faith. Through this website, we invite you to explore the classes we offer on your road to eternity."

      - Father C. Ryan McCarthy, Pastor

    • RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation For Adults

By attending these courses, adults will learn much of what the Catholic Church believes. We recommend that people in the following categories consider joining RCIA:

      • Adult non-Christians and Christians from other denominations who are considering the possibility of becoming Catholic.
      • Adult Catholics who have never received Holy Communion or Confirmation.
      • Adult Catholics who have fallen away from the practice of the Faith and would like to return to the sacraments.

Classes begin in September and will meet weekly on Mondays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

      SPONSORS:
Anyone interested in being a sponsor for those who are converting to Catholicism through our RCIA program are asked to contact Sally Kaufman.

    • Family Formation & Sacramental Preparation

Family Formation is a unique family catechesis program which promotes parents as the primary educators of their children in the Catholic Faith. Family Formation provides a challenging and creative curriculum that is family-based, includes adult catechesis and training for parents, is founded on the Truth and teachings of the Catholic Church, and is designed to make living the Faith a way of life and a life-long learning adventure.

It combines a monthly church gathering (where children meet in grade-specific class settings while parents gather for adult catechesis and formation) and weekly family Home Lessons where parents, equipped with materials and an understanding of the lessons, teach their children the Faith.

Classes designed for preschool and K-6, with separate tracks in place for sacramental preparation.

      • First Penance/First Holy Communion is part of the 2nd grade curriculum.
      • Confirmation is open to all parishioners 13-18 years of age.

    • Continuing Religious Education

The need to learn the Faith doesn't stop with the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation; rather, it continues throughout one's life.

      YOUTH MINISTRY:
All high school students are welcome to join our youth group. They meet once or twice a month during the school year for speakers, prayer, service opportunities and social activities.

      ADULT FAITH FORMATION:
On many evenings throughout the year, adults are invited to enrich their spiritual lives through lessons in Scripture, Church history and other Faith-related topics. These lessons are typically presented through a series of books, DVDs or CDs. Please watch our bulletin for details.

      LATIN CLASS:
Holy Rosary offers Latin instruction to teens and adults. However, due to the cumulative nature of language acquisition, it has a progression and is not a class anyone can jump into at any time. A new course opens up about every three years. The course is not open to join at this time, but please email the instructor, Rebecca Reneau for more information and to place your name on a interest list to be contacted when the next course is open for enrollment.
